Happy Halloween

We kicked off Halloween festivities by going to a party at Noel's work. His banana costume was a hit. Many of the kids loved to see a banana man.

Grace really enjoyed all the buckets she found laying around.

After the Halloween party we tested our pumpkin carving skills. Noel can carve a mean pumpkin but when we lit it up Grace got scared. We forgot to take a picture, and since carved pumpkins don't fare well in Florida humidity it is long gone. However, we do have this nice video of Grace being a girl and not wanting to stick her hand in the pumpkin.
On Halloween the whole family ran a 10k (6.2 miles). Despite being able to sprint faster on a daily basis, Grace contented herself to let Mom push her in the stroller. Noel ran in his banana costume and to the chagrin of many people, they got beat by a banana.

In case you forgot, last year Noel ran in a Where's Waldo costume. We are thinking about making this racing in costume thing a Conrad family tradition.

After the race Grace won the award for cutest costume. It was a proud moment for Noel and I.

Noel and Grace with their prizes. Noel got a prize for winning his age group and for running in a costume

Grace loved her Dad's prize which was a plastic skull.

We then went to a pot luck with the neighbors. Great idea! No one had to make dinner before trick or treating!!!

Finally there was the trick or treating. Grace was worn out by then and not very interested. Though she was good at passing out candy. The video below is our attempt at trick or treating and also the best video of Grace waddling around in her costume.

Like we said, Grace did a great job passing out candy.
