The Last 2 Weeks

Though it seems like forever ago now we did have Thanksgiving. I've been meaning to post it but am just now getting around.

Our friend Paul really wanted to fry a turkey and we thought it would be fun so we did it in our backyard. (Notice the backyard is sand which means our attempts at yard work have been unsuccessful) The turkey turned out well and the guys had a good time.
Grace's favorite food was the corn on the cob.

Grace and Noel enjoying their feast.

Noel and I at his Holiday Party. It was an interesting evening.

Noel and I also ran a 1/2 Marathon (13.1 miles) on Dec. 5th. We have been training since the beginning of September so crossing the finish line was pretty exciting. Noel got a picture of me crossing but since he finished about 40 min. before me I wasn't there to take one of him.

Our first Christmas Tree!!!!! Today we bought and decorated our first Christmas Tree. It was a fun thing to do and our house really needed the holiday cheer. It's a humble tree but we really like it.

Here are some pictures of Grace because they are fun. She is at a really fun (and at time frustrating) age. She is very excited about the world and is always anxious to explore.

Observing the fish at Wal-Mart. We were surprised that she was so interested in them.

We finally got some winter weather here in Florida. Not cold enough to keep Grace inside though.

Grace has been interested in music since she was born. At just 2 weeks old she would calm down when I played music or sang to her. As she has gotten older she has enjoyed dancing to music as well. Now anytime there is a piano around she wants to play it.

Another favorite activity of Grace's is to talk on the phone. I thought I had a few more years before I had to fight with her over cell phones.

A half marathon...holy cow...very impressive!!! How do you train with a baby? I'd like to start running again, but what do I do with Carly?
